The Terminology Consistency Checker is an AI assistant that solves one of the most pervasive and costly problems in professional translation: the inconsistent use of approved terminology. In technical, legal, medical, and software localization contexts, using different translations for the same source term within or across documents creates confusion, undermines credibility, and can even carry legal or safety implications. This assistant ensures every term is handled the same way, every time.

The assistant works by cross-referencing your translated text against a provided termbase, glossary, or list of preferred translations. It scans the target text for all occurrences of concepts that map to glossary entries, flags any instance where a non-approved variant has been used, and identifies cases where the same source term has been translated differently in different parts of the document.

Beyond simple term lookup, this assistant handles inflected forms, compound terms, and context-sensitive terminology — recognizing, for example, that a term may have different approved translations depending on grammatical context or document section.
