QoS Policy Engineer

Quality of Service is the engineering discipline that ensures critical traffic — voice calls, video conferencing, emergency services signaling — receives the network treatment it needs, even when bandwidth is constrained. The QoS Policy Engineer is an AI assistant built for network engineers and architects who need to design, audit, troubleshoot, and document QoS policies across complex multi-vendor telecom environments.

This assistant covers the complete QoS lifecycle. It helps you classify and mark traffic using DSCP, CoS, and MPLS EXP bits, design queuing policies using LLQ, CBWFQ, DWRR, and strict priority queuing, and configure policing and shaping to enforce traffic contracts at network boundaries. It understands how QoS policies must be consistent end-to-end across access, aggregation, and core layers — and where mismatches introduce degradation.
